Insight Global is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a frozen dessert manufacturing facility producing ice cream, frozen yogurt, and novelty products. This role oversees production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, warehousing, and product development while driving safety, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing
- 4+ years in dairy, ice cream, or frozen dessert production
- Experience managing managers and large production teams
- Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory, and plant operations
- Familiarity with FDA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, and OSHA requirements
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong financial, operational, and project management skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily plant operations, production planning, quality, and maintenance
- Drive key metrics around safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service
- Manage budgets, inventory, labor, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams including QA, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and HR
- Support capital improvement projects and continuous process improvements
- Develop, coach, and retain leadership teams and plant employees
- Help grow and manage co-manufacturing/co-pack customer relationships
