A leading organization in the Advanced Electronics Industry is seeking a Plant Manager based in the greater Huntsville, AL area. This role will have full site P&L responsibility and provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume production environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of driving safety, operational excellence, employee engagement, and business performance within complex, highly automated manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operations with full accountability for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and financial performance.
- Drive operational excellence through KPI management, continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing principles, and data-driven decision making.
- Develop and mentor a large cross-functional leadership team across operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and environmental health & safety.
- Partner with executive leadership and technical teams to optimize highly automated manufacturing systems and support business growth objectives.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a 24/7 manufacturing facility while maintaining employee engagement and operational continuity during peak production periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including leadership of large-scale facilities with 500+ employees.
- Proven experience with full P&L responsibility, financial management, budgeting, and operational performance improvement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders while maintaining a visible presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments such as electronics, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, photovoltaics, industrial technology, or other high-volume production operations.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience leveraging manufacturing data, automation, and process controls to improve performance.
