The organization is known for its commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term investment in its manufacturing facilities.The Plant Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:* Power Distribution Reliability - Support the safe and reliable operation of plant electrical infrastructure including substations, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems.* Electrical Troubleshooting - Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts to identify and resolve equipment failures and recurring electrical issues.* Motor Controls & Drives - Serve as a technical resource for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and related motor systems.* Capital Projects - Support electrical capital projects including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, outage planning, and project execution.* Preventive & Predictive Maintenance - Develop and improve maintenance practices aimed at increasing reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.* Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve electrical system performance, safety, reliability, and overall plant efficiency.* Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner with operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors to support plant objectives and critical initiatives.The Plant Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.* 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.* Experience supporting medium and/or high-voltage power distribution systems.* Hands-on experience with substations, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs.* Strong troubleshooting, reliability, and root cause analysis experience.* Experience planning and executing electrical capital projects preferred.* Background in pulp & paper, packaging, paper manufacturing, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments strongly preferred.* Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation when required.Benefits/Perks:* Competitive salary and bonus opportunity* Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage* 401(k) with company contribution* Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates* Opportunity to work on critical plant power infrastructure and large-scale industrial systems* Long-term career growth within an established manufacturing organizationIf you're interested in this role, please apply below now!
