Financial Controller | Manufacturing

I'm currently partnering with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join a high-performing finance team supporting a specialist manufacturing business across two production sites.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you'll be a key member of the leadership team, supporting the financial and operational performance of two manufacturing facilities. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams, you'll provide financial insight that drives profitability, improves efficiencies and supports business growth.

This is a highly collaborative position that requires someone who can translate financial data into meaningful business recommendations for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to drive operational and financial performance across two manufacturing sites.
  • Assess the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions, providing insight to support business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reporting, including sales, margins, manufacturing costs and operating expenses.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and planning processes across both facilities.
  • Deliver forward-looking financial analysis to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance, identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Analyse business performance and provide recommendations to maximise profitability.
  • Consolidate financial results and present clear performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and manufacturing operations.

About You

You'll be an analytical, commercially aware finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and influencing decision-making across the business.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing accounting, plant finance or financial controlling.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP or financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be based within commuting distance of either Bridgewater, NJ or Taunton, MA .
  • Willingness to travel between both manufacturing sites as required (typically around once per month).
  • SAP experience.Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CMA or CGMA.
