Plant Controller

Location: Robesonia, PA
Schedule: Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead the finance and accounting operations for our Robesonia, PA location. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective support of plant operations in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all plant finance and accounting operations
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and management reports
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including clear explanations of results against budget and prior periods
  • Maintain detailed oversight of the balance sheet and ensure timely, accurate account reconciliations
  • Manage cost accounting activities, including product costing, overhead allocation, inventory valuation, and review of bills of material and routings
  • Review and support capital expenditure requests
  • Partner cross-functionally with plant leadership to drive KPIs and business performance
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash administration, cash management, and credit/collections
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Monitor working capital and maintain financial controls to support compliance and operational effectiveness
  • Lead the financial aspects of physical inventory and support efforts to reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Support annual audits and work closely with external auditors
  • Stay current on legal and regulatory changes impacting finance and accounting operations
  • Develop, coach, and support the growth of staff

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Advanced Finance degree required
  • 8-10 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong cost accounting background, including inventory, overhead rates, and lower of cost or market valuation
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both senior leadership and non-financial managers
  • Experience driving process improvements and solving operational finance challenges
  • Proficiency with modern ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel
