Plant Controller

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to provide financial leadership and business partnership within a manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for a Plant Controller or Assistant Plant Controller who understands manufacturing finance and enjoys working closely with plant and operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis, including labor, materials, overhead, and productivity.
• Partner with plant and operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Oversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and fixed asset accounting.
• Analyze plant performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational decision-making through meaningful financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Plant Controller, Assistant Plant Controller, Accounting Manager or similar manufacturing finance leadership role strongly preferred.
• Strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis .
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills.
