A bit about us

We are one of the largest aluminum component manufacturers in the United States, with nearly 80 years of precision manufacturing experience. Vertically integrated and high-volume, we supply cast, machined, and finished parts to customers across automotive, heavy truck, marine, and industrial markets. ISO 9001:2015 certified, privately held, and built on a culture of operational excellence.

We are looking for a Plant Controller to serve the financial backbone of our manufacturing facility, partnering directly with plant leadership to drive operational performance and profitability. This role goes beyond traditional accounting — you'll translate complex cost data into actionable insights, challenge assumptions, and help shape the financial direction of the plant.

Why join us?

This is a high-visibility, high-impact position for a finance professional who wants to be more than a number-cruncher. You'll have a direct line to plant leadership, a seat at the table for operational decisions, and the opportunity to make a measurable difference in how the facility performs.

In addition, we offer a competitive salary and benefits and a great work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all accounting and financial operations for the plant, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all reporting
  • Own the month-end close process — journal entries, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting
  • Maintain and continuously improve standard costing and cost accounting systems
  • Analyze manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead, scrap, and inventory) and communicate findings to plant leadership
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory oversight
  • Identify operational trends and flag risks and opportunities before they impact the bottom line
  • Partner with plant and operations managers to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide financial analysis supporting labor decisions, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare and present performance reports to both plant and corporate leadership
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial procedures
  • Support internal and external audit requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong command of cost accounting, inventory control, and variance analysis
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • A sharp analytical mind with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills — you're equally comfortable presenting to the CFO and walking the plant floor with an operations manager
