We are partnering with a manufacturing company in Pittsfield, ME who is looking to add a Plant Controller to their team. This role will oversee the accounting and financial operations of the manufacturing facility, partnering closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, improve operational efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making. This position offers Fridays WFH.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all plant accounting and financial reporting activities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for the facility
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances
- Prepare financial statements, operational reports, and KPI analysis
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the plant
- Monitor cost controls and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Partner with plant leadership to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Manufacturing experience required
- Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
