Why This Role Is Important
Serve as the key financial business partner to plant leadership, helping drive operational and financial performance across the facility
Lead all plant accounting and cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, labor/material allocations, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide leadership with actionable financial insights to support strategic decision‑making and operational efficiency initiatives
Ensure strong internal controls, financial compliance, and accurate reporting in a complex manufacturing environment
Play a critical role in evaluating capital investments, operational initiatives, and plant performance against forecast and budget
Drive accountability through KPI development, reporting, and financial analysis tied directly to plant operations and profitability
Help bridge finance and operations by translating complex financial data into clear business recommendations for leadership teams
The Background That Fits
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
5+ years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, ideally supporting large‑scale plant operations
Deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance processes
Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with operations leaders and influence decision‑making in a plant environment
Experience managing forecasts, budgets, month‑end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting within a fast‑paced operation
Strong systems and ERP experience with the ability to analyze complex financial and operational data
Executive presence with the ability to communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities clearly to both finance and operational leadership teams
