About the Role
The Assistant Plant Controller supports the Plant Controller and leadership team to drive financial accuracy, cost control, and business performance at a manufacturing facility generating ~$80M in annual revenue. The role focuses on cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month‑end closing, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Lead cost accounting activities—standard costing, inventory valuation, and job order review.
- Partner with operations to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX , and internal control standards.
- Support annual budget and five‑year financial planning cycles.
- Prepare financial analyses for capital projects and management presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration .
- 5–10 years of manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Plant Controller or equivalent role.
- Strong ERP experience (SAP, PeopleSoft, or Epicor ) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP , cost analysis, and financial controls.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National (ITAR compliance required).

- Experience with forecasting tools (Khalix, Longview, etc.)
