Plant Controller

Harmer has been engaged by our client to identify a Plant Controller. This is a key finance leadership role overseeing accounting and financial performance across a multi-site manufacturing operation. The position will partner closely with plant and operations leadership while leading an experienced accounting team.

Responsibilities Include

• Lead accounting and financial activities across multiple manufacturing locations
• Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, absorption costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Own plant-level P&L, balance sheet, inventory accounting, and financial reporting
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance reporting
• Partner with plant and operations leadership to provide financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support business decisions
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Support internal controls, SOX compliance, audits, ERP enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing accounting
• Strong standard cost and inventory accounting experience requiredPrior supervisory or people leadership experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
