Beverage Manufacturing company in Vermont is seeking an onsite Plant Controller for their company of 100+ employees. In this role the Controller would be responsible for day-to-day financial activities of the Finance department regarding reporting, budgeting, month-end close duties, plant expense analysis, and forecasting activities. You will work closely with plant operations to identify financial impacts and ensure accurate and timely operations reporting.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for plant financial forecasting
- Participate in monthly plant business review meetings
- Provide support for new product rollouts and capital project payback analysis
- Perform transactions in SAP, including allocation review and posting, reconciliations, inventory revaluation, and adjustments
- Partner with finance to ensure standardized reporting across manufacturing
- Partner with leadership to centralize KPI reporting across all the manufacturing network
- Report on plant financial performance, KPI reports, and productivity initiatives
- Assist with plant capacity analysis
- Distribute monthly operations reports
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Analyze plant balance sheet accounts
- Perform plant cost accounting analysis
- Recommend improvements and automate accounting functions in SAP and offline processes. Provide support to plant personnel on all SAP financial accounting issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of financial and/or accounting experience for a Plant
- 2+ years of SAP experience
- Food or Beverage Industry experience
- Ability to travel 1-4 times a year to other plant locations in the U.S
