We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to find their next Plant Controller. This is a hands-on financial leadership role - you'll be the go-to business partner for the Plant Manager and department heads, turning plant financials into decisions that drive profitability.
What you'll own:
- Lead the plant's financial function and mentor an Accounting and Finance team (Plant Accountant, Accounting Coordinator, Auditor)
- Own the annual budgeting process, including departmental interviews and the Annual Operating Plan
- Run monthly plant operation reviews - variance analysis on labor, material, and overhead
- Partner with department managers on corrective actions for spending variances
- Coordinate capital evaluations with the Corporate Financial Analyst
- Manage costing for new product initiation and maintain cost standards
- Oversee inventory accuracy, transaction review, and variance analysisBuild fluency in Activity Based Costing and shape plant-level reporting from that model
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-8 years in Manufacturing Cost Accounting, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong MS Office skills; experience with MRP, ERP, and bar coding systems
- A self-starter mindset with sharp communication skills and the confidence to lead
