A great UHY client is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. This role will serve as a key financial business partner to plant leadership, overseeing financial operations while driving cost control, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
The Plant Controller role is an onsite position. This is a permanent opportunity offering strong visibility to leadership, involvement in plant-level decision-making, and the ability to make a direct impact on operational and financial performance.
- Serve as the financial business partner to plant leadership, supporting operational and strategic decision-making
- Develop, manage, and analyze plant financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports to track performance and support transformation initiatives
- Analyze variances between budget and actual results, identifying risks and opportunities
- Monitor and control plant costs including labor, production, and overhead expenses
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and recommend strategies for optimization
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial targets with operational goals
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct financial reviews and support audit processes to maintain accuracy and integrity
- Act as a financial lead on plant initiatives, including process improvements and new projects
- Monitor and report on financial impact of operational and transformation efforts
- Partner with corporate finance and communicate insights across departments
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment required
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting processes
- Experience supporting organizational change or transformation initiatives preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
