The Plant Controller plans, organizes, directs and controls the accounting of the results of the industrial operations' activities, including reporting of the operational results and ensuring that adequate internal controls exist and are complied with in the industrial operations area. This role drives and improves the industrial operations control tools of Virbac Corporation in order to measure and analyze the performance of the industrial operations' activities to ultimately improve costs and manufacturing efficiencies, invested capital optimization and internal control effectiveness.Qualified candidates should have experience in the following:8-12 years working in a Manufacturing EnvironmentStrong Cost Accounting background (Product Costing and Inventory valuation, BOM management and development).ERP system familiarity –Inform M3 a plusAbility to work cross functionally to drive resultsThis exciting position will work in Bridgeton, MO. It comes with an excellent benefits package including generous time off, 401k + match, life, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and more!Area of responsibility 1: Monitoring of Industrial Operations activity.Participate in the monitoring of the industrial operations activity through financial and operational reporting, consistently evaluate and analyze performance, and provide reliable decision making tools, including but not limited to, manufacturing variance and the inventory valuation.Contribute to the optimization of production costs by supporting production management in quantifying and analyzing production measures.Oversee inventory valuation, preparation of the monthly inventory reserve analysis, and roll-forward of inventory reserve.Validate internal controls on a regular basis to ensure that controls remain appropriate and effective.Oversee the physical inventory count process including implementation and maintenance of a perpetual inventory count process that meets internal and audit requirements (thus transitioning the company away from an annual physical inventory count).Forecast and model activity-levels, taking into account financial, technical, planning and production aspects.Expected results: Optimization of Industrial Operations' activitiesArea of responsibility 2: Reporting of Industrial Operations activity.Provide the reporting required to and to analyze and control the performance of the Industrial Operations activities: Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory, Logistics, and Investments.Analyze the performance of industrial processes in collaboration with operational management by producing relevant reports and indicatorsReport and analyze the manufacturing variance in partnership with finance and operations.Define production costs to ensure consistency, accuracy and appropriate tracking.Expected results: Improved Industrial Operations' performanceArea of responsibility 3: Manage standard cost system.Main activities1. Manage and Monitor the standard cost system in the framework of the VB Group cost methodology including the following related activities:a.

Refining the applied methodology and ensuring that it is consistently appliedb. Calculate, analyze and report item costing and manufacturing information for the annual budget process.Prepare standard cost budgets taking into account:Manufacturing volumes relates to budgeted sales volumesDirect labor hours and related budgeted costsOverhead absorption rates based upon manufacturing volumes and budgeted indirect manufacturing costOver/under absorption of manufacturing overheadsMaterial standardsc. Validate and approve all changes to standardsCalculate and simulate standard and actual production costs including estimated production cost of new products.d. Accounting for, analyzing and reporting on variances between actual and standard costsExpected results: Standard Costs are relevant and reasonably represent valid costs.Area of responsibility 4: Management of STL Accounting.Provide leadership for the STL accounting staff through proper control, support, supervision, coordination and training.Establish policies and procedures with regards to manufacturing accounting.Expected results: STL Accounting operates efficiently and effectively on behalf of the CompanyArea of responsibility 5: Other.Assist in projects linked to information systems and tools implementation.Expected results: Effective tools related to Industrial OperationsProfileRequirements (Diploma and experience)Accounting Degree required – CPA or CMA preferred8-12 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years experience in a management capacity.SkillsManaging Standard Costing Systems in Manufacturing Environment.ERP experience, preferably Infor M3 Movex.Cross Functional Communication and Partnership.Virbac provides numerous career opportunities, thanks to the diversity of its jobs and their international dimension.
