Plant Controller

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of its Baltimore-area manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role partnering closely with plant leadership and operations to drive financial performance, improve processes, and provide meaningful business insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting for the manufacturing facility
• Manage month-end close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Partner with plant and operations leadership on financial performance, costs, margins, and productivity
• Oversee inventory, cost accounting, standard costs, and manufacturing variances
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs and provide actionable analysis to management
• Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems
• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Lead and develop the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably within manufacturing
• Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience
• Experience with inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Ability to work hands-on while effectively partnering with operations and senior leadership
• CPA or CMA is a plus
