Corporate Headquarters in Gastonia, NC. The person in this role plans, develops, and manages the production planning function for Stabilus United States (STUS) in meeting the KPI's for Logistics; customer on-time shipments, NWC, and production schedules (maintaining optimum OEE), In-Bound freight, Out-Bound freight and activities for optimal performance.Main TasksPrimary responsible for STUS production planning; including MPS (Master Production Schedule). Ensuring production plan accurately reflects customer requirements with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction.Establish priorities for specific production jobsCoordinate and schedule Pilot's to assure PPAP requirements timingCoordinate engineering changes and/or phase-out for programs to prevent obsolescenceBalance production schedule to level headcount working with productionMonitor the status of supplier release delivery dates and quantities in SAP for international & domestic suppliersCoordinate and monitor supplier inventoryFollow up on early/late shipments, over/under shipments, and support customer logistics complaintsCoordinate expedite arrangements if needed for inbound materialCommunicate exception requirements to suppliers to support sudden customer increases or decreases in demand or to support internal bank buildsAssist with cycle counts of raw material, investigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesTravel to customers, and other Stabilus centers of operations as required.Achieve departmental budget objectives.The job holder is obliged to follow the existing procedures and work instructions and act accordingly.Education, Training, CertificationsUndergraduate degree in marketing, logistics, purchasing finance, accounting, or engineering.Experience1-5 years of Logistics planning experienceDemonstrated history of performance in achieving business objectivesExperience working with computers and production planning software, SAP preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment preferred.Must be able to work in an environment of continuous change.
