Planning & Budgeting Manager - SES - 64003065

This managerial position in the Florida Department of Health involves planning and directing a consultative program to ensure coordination and efficiency in service delivery while providing operational and financial management. The role includes budget preparation, supervision of staff, revenue monitoring, and serving as a resource for partner county health departments. The incumbent will be responsible for the annual operating budget development, Medicaid cost reporting, and internal control assessments.

Key qualifications:

• Must have been directly responsible for creating, managing, and/or adjusting a program or departmental budget for the Department of Health
• Must be a current Florida Department of Health employee in a Selected Exempt Service (SES), Career Service (CS), or Other Personal Services (OPS) position
• Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
