In this position, you'll be responsible for stockpiling materials unloaded from railcars and loading customer trucks accurately and on time.This role provides the opportunity to contribute directly to daily production in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a focus on delivering quality service to both internal and external customers.New Hire Orientation & Safety Training RequirementAll newly hired employees are required to attend New Hire Orientation and Safety Training in person at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas.

Attendance is mandatory and is a condition of employment.To support employees traveling to attend training, mileage and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed for individuals whose commute to the Dallas Corporate Office exceeds 50 miles, in accordance with company travel and reimbursement policies. Additional details regarding travel arrangements and reimbursement procedures will be provided prior to the training date.Essential ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer's instructionPerform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessoriesPerform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipmentReport needed repairs to supervisionEnsure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirementsResponsible for good housekeeping of equipmentAssist in plant maintenance and repairsAssist with operation of other equipment as neededAdhere to MSHA/OSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulationsPerform duties with minimum supervisionEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent experienceWorking knowledge of heavy construction equipment1 year of Heavy Equipment experience; previous loader operator experience preferredExperience with a variety of hand toolsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to work 12 hour shifts, possible weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.Must be able to read equipment operating manualMust be able to complete pre-shift inspection reportMust be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds, with coworkers regarding movement of vehicles and mobile equipmentPossess basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reportsMust be able to wear all required safety equipmentMust be able to perform duties in a safe mannerMust be able to read and interpret gaugesMust be service oriented with proven ability to work in a team environmentPhysical RequirementsMust have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controlsPossess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feetMust be able to climb on and off equipment to operate and serviceMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space in cab of vehicleMust be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per dayCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsMust work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noisy conditionsMust be able to work at various heightsWorking ConditionsLarger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
