No matter your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success as we deliver innovative solutions to our clients.Position SummaryResponsible for supervising and coordinating of crew workers to ensure quality and accuracy on the job.Essential Job FunctionsPromote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresEnsure that the workers under them do their job skillfully and efficientlyMake certain the assigned work progresses on scheduleInterpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns dutiesRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crewDeal with the routing of material and equipment and with the laying out of the areas of workRecommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measuresMay train new workers and also assist in jobsite orientationMaintain time and production recordsMay confer with jobsite superintendent and/or Foreman to coordinate activities of individual projectsMay complete required Equipment Maintenance report and Equipment/Materials transfer reportsPreplanning daily activities and monitoring tasksComplete required daily project reportsMonitor small tooling maintenance and storage and site materialsComplete required employee documentation when requiredRequired to travel to different jobsites on a limited noticeQualificationsEducation and Work Experience Requirements:4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh school diploma or GEDCertification (preferred)Plus some supervisory experience (preferred)Applicable Pipefitter training and certificate from NCCER, NCCCO, or from approved 3rd party certification body (preferred)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulationsWhen on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractorsSet a personal example of safe behaviorRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAdd and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volumeCommon sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral formAbility to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standardsOther may duties may be assignedMaintain in-depth relations with all members of their team and your supervisor.Physical DemandsWork up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions. This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.). Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
