Pipefitter
We are currently seeking experienced Pipefitters in the Baltimore, MD area for a heavy industrial and mechanical contractor. Candidates must be familiar with carbon steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, PVC, HDPE, and copper pipes and be flexible with the work environment.
Pipefitter Responsibilities:
- Experience running piping through active industrial production facilities is required.
- Understand P&ID (Process and Instrument Diagrams) and can coordinate installation of valves and instruments as shown on the drawings.
- Ability to field route piping where appropriate and required by the client.
- Working with welded, threaded, Victaulic piping, carbon, and stainless steel.
- Experience with the some or all of the following:
- Carbon Steel – Threaded, butt weld, socket weld (1/2" thru 24")
- Stainless Steel – Threaded, butt weld, socket weld (1/2" thru 12")
- Fiberglass – Butt wrap & socket (4" thru 24")
- PVC – Socket & SDR-35 (1/2" thru 6")
- HDPE – Fusion Weld (4" thru 24")
- Copper – Threaded & Socket (sweat) (1/2" thru 3")
Requirements:
- Driver's License and have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
- Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon – Thu on a (4) 10's schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required, which is dependent on client needs.
Experience:
- 2-5 Years previous construction experience, preferably as a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of plans, specifications, P&IDs, and ISOs.
