Pipe LayerThe Pipe Layer is responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains. This job description may also perform a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates.Key duties include:Lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewer, drains, and water mainsConfigure pipe routesAlign pipes in pipeline sectionsSet laser at the proper grade for task at handMake sure pipe is installed at the proper gradeAssist heavy equipment operator in proper depth for the pipe being installedEnsures pipes are fitted and aligned properly to insure there will be no leaksMakes sure pipe is backfilled and chalked in properlyEnsures that the trench has all the proper safety equipment in place per OSHA regulationsFlexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changesRequirements:Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbsPreferred: 2+ years' experience as a pipe layerBenefits:Employee Stock Ownership ProgramPaid Time Off401k + matchingMedical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental insurance programsAn Equal Opportunity Employer Drug-Free Workplace
