Picker/Packer

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions , in partnership with a leading manufacturer in Hampshire, IL , is seeking a picker/packer to join their team! This is a great opportunity to work with a company that values quality, teamwork, and long-term growth.
Pay rate to start is $17.50, Work hours are 8-4:30 pm M-F
Role Overview
A picker works primarily in warehouses, distribution centers, retail storage facilities, and logistics operations , where they ensure that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and inventory is properly maintained They may work full-time, part-time, or seasonal , depending on business needs and order volume
Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking: Select items from storage locations based on order specifications, using handheld scanners or picking systems
• Packing and Shipping: Prepare picked items for shipment by packing, labeling, and staging orders for distribution
• Inventory Management: Verify item quantities, descriptions, and quality against order requirements, and update inventory records
• Equipment Operation: Use tools such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or automated picking systems to move items safely
• Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
• Team Collaboration: Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations
