Role Description
Boston School of Music Arts is seeking to hire a Piano Faculty member (up to 30 hours per week) for on-site teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting private and small group piano lessons to students of all ages (3 1/2 and up) and levels, as well as small ensembles. They will work with the Director of Music to maintain an organized curriculum and prepare students for recitals and other performances. The role is located in Dorchester, MA.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching piano to beginners and advanced students ages 4 and up
- Strong classical foundation with a love and appreciation for a range of popular styles
- A degree in music with a piano focus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized for work with student progress systems
- Availability to work: Sat 9-4, Sun 12-6, M-Th 2-8 or 9 p.m.
- Knowledge of various styles of music and the ability to teach diverse genres
- Enthusiasm for music and teaching, with an ability to inspire students to learn and enjoy music
