Personal Injury Litigation Attorney - Plaintiff

Location: Jacksonville, FL - Onsite - Positions available in Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa, FL

Compensation: $110k-$170k base + Bonus opportunity DOE

Position Overview: Well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle high-value cases from filing through verdict. This position involves full responsibility for litigation matters in state and federal court, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial. The firm represents clients in matters involving auto accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and related personal injury claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and file lawsuits
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution or verdict
  • Draft and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend fact witness depositions
  • Retain, prepare, and work with expert witnesses
  • Attend expert depositions
  • Prepare for and attend hearings and mediations
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict
  • Draft and file pre-trial and post-trial motions
  • Work closely with paralegals and litigation support staff

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 3 or more years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
  • Demonstrated jury trial experience
  • First-chair trial experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience with pleadings, complaint drafting, motion practice, summary judgment motions, and Daubert motions
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to independently manage cases through trial

Benefits:
