Location: Louisville, KY - Primarily In-Office
Compensation: $85,000-$100,000 Base Salary + Commission/Bonus

About the Opportunity
Our client, an established personal injury law firm with more than 30 years of experience, is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its growing Louisville office.
This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload of 50+ active matters . The practice focuses primarily on motor vehicle accidents, with additional cases involving premises liability, dog bites, wrongful death, and other personal injury claims.
You'll have ownership of cases from filing through resolution, including discovery, depositions, mediation, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
What You'll Do
• Manage personal injury cases from filing through settlement or trial
• Maintain an active litigation caseload of 50+ matters
• Develop case strategies based on liability, damages, medical evidence, and available insurance coverage
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement demands
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable client outcomes
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings as needed
• Maintain accurate case documentation while meeting court deadlines and client expectations
What You'll Bring
• Active Kentucky Bar license in good standing
• Approximately 5+ years of legal practice preferred
• 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
• Experience managing a high-volume litigation caseload
• Hands-on experience with discovery, depositions, mediation, motion practice, and court proceedings
• Strong legal research and writing abilities
• Excellent negotiation and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage competing deadlines and case priorities
• Willingness to work primarily from the Louisville office
Candidates with strong plaintiff-side or relevant civil litigation experience may also be considered, even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
