Experience in databases like DB2, Snowflake, Teradata, or Greenplum is required. Support any database in operations, generate reports by automating them. Python development could be in the backend space. This group owns DB (Snowflake/Cloud/Teradata) - candidate needs to be willing to learn RDBMS and client will provide the support for the same - STL automation. Java/Python - 20/80 OR fully Python also works.Required skills include 5+ hands on experience in Python, Unix or shell scripting, experience in job schedulers like Autosys/Jenkin, usage of code repository like GIT/Perforce/CVCI/CD & automation of build/test/deploy, hands on experience with XML/JSON/YAML processing, and interest in learning database technologies like Teradata/Snowflake.Good to have includes hands on in any one RDBMS: Teradata/Snowflake will be an added advantage, having cloud based database experience is an added advantage, awareness of IntelliJ/eclipse editor tool, experience in database ETL concepts, experience in database utilities like data export/load & object migrations, experience in application/database migration activities, Java programming will be an added advantage, SQL performance review techniques will be an added advantage.Job description involves being part of the Finance Infrastructure group, responsible for centric database infrastructure supporting multiple application teams in various activities listed below: support daily operations through the use of automation, build culture of Continuous Delivery for a better all-around software development and deployment experience, automation of database management activities, automation of migrating the database objects to higher environments in Teradata & Greenplum, monitoring the database system metrics, automating the generating of database plant usage metrics, database regular cleanup & generating alerts on the maintenance activities, automation and extending the partitions, historical data purging and archiving process, statistics management daily/weekly, onetime refresh, automation of space management and alert generation, database setup, providing permissions, database object modeling, validating the DB model standards in non-prod environment, automating object & data migration process between different databases, data copy from Teradata to GreenPlum & vice versa using export/import utilities in corresponding database technologies, DDL conversion from Teradata to GreenPlum, automation of performing benchmark tests with database/application migrations.
