Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physician --Minimum of 120 hours per month, with the opportunity to work additional shifts if desired no cap on monthly shifts, and all are paid at the same rate --12-hour and 10-hour shifts available --Rotations between the main ED and FSEDs are expected, though exclusive FSED coverage may be considered --Main ED staffed daily with 5 physicians and 2-4+ APPs --APPs with PIT (Provider in Triage) coverage --Nursing coverage 1:3 (1:4 max) --1.5-1.7 PPH in the main ED --LWBS under 1% --No call responsibilities are required for this position --Level III Trauma Center with low transfer rate (~2%) and high continuity of care - The four primary reasons for transfer are neurosurgical cases, advanced orthopedic trauma (including complex pelvic fractures), transplant patients, and pediatric ICU cases. - Transfers are facilitated seamlessly through established call-center protocols with tertiary care facilities. --50k-55k annual ER visits --Main ED: 42 beds with dedicated high-, moderate-, and low-acuity zones - no hallway beds or patients boarding in corridors --Average radiology read times of 7 minutes, with CT reads averaging just 3.2 minutes --Dedicated radiology coverage 24/7 with the same radiology group around the clock (no nighthawk service) --Closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage and in-house surgical support --Neurologists are available for consultation, with 24/7 tele-stroke support for acute stroke care and management of thrombolytic (tPA/TNK) protocols. Our neurologists typically do not administer tPA ACGME teaching hospital opportunities to teach without the burden of required lectures --FSED #1: 8 beds | 3T MRI, CT, ultrasound, full lab --FSED #2: 12 beds | CT, X-ray, ultrasound, full lab --Chest Pain Center & STEMI program with 24/7 interventional cardiology --ACGME teaching hospital opportunities to teach without the burden of required lectures --0% physician turnover within our EM group --Competitive shift-based pay structure (W2) Main ED: $278 days, $300 nights FSEDs: $250 for days, $260 for nights --Full benefits package: Health, dental, & vision; supplemental insurance options (short/long-term disability, accidental, cancer, life); retirement plans with employer match. --PSLF loan repayment eligibility --$3K annual CME allowance --Malpractice Insurance + Tail Coverage --Licensure & Credentialing Fees covered --No proximity residency requirement
