Urologist
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in York, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Provide Urology specialty coverage in both clinic and OR/call settings • Work clinic shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts) with a 1-hour lunch break • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage as needed • See approximately 24 to 28 patients per day in clinic, including urgent cases as needed • Perform and manage cystoscopy and stent procedures mixed with office visits • Supervise and support new Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) • Collaborate with a support staff team including 4 Medical Assistants, 1 CSA, and 1 RN • Treat adult patient population (18 and older), with potential rare emergency torsion cases during call • Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient charting • Perform core urology procedures including: Vasectomy, Cystoscopy (in OR), Prostate procedures, Ureteroscopy (in OR), Lithotripsy, Orchiopexy, Penile Plication, and Penile Implants (rare) • Perform Vasectomy Reversal (preferred but not mandatory) • Operate in both York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery locations across 16 total operating rooms • Utilize office equipment including Cystoscope, Towers, and Injections • Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Urology • Maintain active Pennsylvania License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) • Maintain active DEA registration • Perform robotic surgery as applicable to case requirements • Perform scope procedures if part of individual clinical practice
