West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart& Vascular Institute 's Department of Cardiovascular andThoracic Surgery are actively recruiting a board certified/eligiblecardiothoracic surgeon (ranks available Professor, AssociateProfessor, Assistant Professor) with a specialty interest in AdultCardiac Surgery. The candidate will practice in Morgantown,WV.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also beassigned to provide services at additional worksites in WestVirginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travelwould be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at theseadditional sites.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area ofcardiothoracic surgery. In addition to providing excellent patientcare, the successful candidate will also be actively involved inteaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreignequivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successfulcandidate must have completed a general surgery residency program,as well as a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program. Successfulcandidates must be board eligible/certified in cardiothoracicsurgery. All qualifications must be met by the time ofappointment.
