Physician – South Haven Pediatrician

Location

BSH Bronson South Haven, South Haven, MI

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients
  • Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection; provide materials and resources
  • Determine required referrals and urgency of follow‑up or consult appointments
  • Exercise final medical judgment in all health‑care issues
  • Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs
  • Order studies, tests, and ancillary services
  • Document all services in the patient medical record
  • Review long‑term cases requiring ongoing medical attention
  • Consult with Medical Director and other staff regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
  • Participate in process improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient‑care programs
  • Oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned
  • Assist in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information per federal regulations
  • Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service reflecting mission and values

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Medicine
  • Current unrestricted state medical license (MD/DO) and DEA licensure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, quality patient‑centered care
  • Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and pharmacological agents
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proper telephone etiquette
  • Experience with direct or internal pediatric care (minimum 2 years) and ability to maintain medical‑staff privileges

Work Hours

First Shift, Full time, 40 scheduled weekly hours
