Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a full-time BE/BC dual-boarded Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiologist to join its established practice in Sacramento, CA. This role offers an opportunity to provide timely, high-quality patient care within a large, well-established multispecialty group, covering a mix of general nuclear medicine, cardiac studies, and PET/CT across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Nuclear Medicine and a desire to work in a collegial and collaborative environment.
Practice Info
- Large well-established multispecialty group
- Quality care centered with group compensation bonus for meeting participation and imaging division-based quality improvement projects
- The nuclear medicine section covers 5 acute care facilities and 6 outpatient imaging sites providing a mix of general nuclear medicine, DXA, and cardiac studies and PET/CT as well as therapy
- Onsite and remote reading shifts
- Training programs are present at two of the acute care facilities allowing for education opportunities with residents
- Home work stations provided
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for general Nuclear Medicine, cardiac scintigraphy, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and radiopharmaceutical therapies
- Provide timely, high-quality patient care
- Participate in imaging division-based quality improvement projects
- Provide productivity coverage for multidisciplinary conferences and tumor board
Compensation
- The base salary of $700,000 with the opportunity to increase base income through additional voluntary shift work, incentives, and group productivity bonuses
- $50,000 sign-on bonus (paid in 2 parts)
- Relocation assistance of up to $20,000
- Group compensation bonus for meeting participation and imaging division-based quality improvement projects
- Productivity coverage for multidisciplinary conferences and tumor board

Shift & Schedule
- Onsite and remote reading shifts
- Opportunity for additional income with voluntary remote shifts either in radiology or PET/CT
- Evening call in shared rotation up until 10 pm
- Weekend and holiday day coverage in shared rotation
Requirements
- Medical Board of California: Active license or eligible to obtain prior to employment
- ABNM/ABR Board Certification: Dedicated training in Nuclear Medicine including board certification by ABNM and ABR or ABR/NR with ABNM eligibility
- ACLS Certification: Active or obtained prior to employment
- Desirable to have postgraduate professional experience in Nuclear Medicine including general Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and theranostics
- Authorized User or have qualifying credentials to become an Authorized User
