Job Description
At NorthBay Health the Board Certified, Licensed Primary Care Physician will practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California. This position is a Full Time Float FM/IM Physician to support our growth, expansion and coverage in Primary Care throughout the region.
Location and Schedule
- Location: Full time float, Vallejo, Fairfield, Vacaville, Napa or as needed throughout region
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
- Call Ratio: Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites
- Daily Patient Census: 18 patients per day
- Equipment/Resources: Access to state‑of‑the‑art equipment and comprehensive resources
- Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Primary Responsibilities
- Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
- Recommend and order tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
- Monitor lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
- Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary
- Represent the practice at hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
- Collaborate and manage APPs
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board‑certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
- Proven experience in a primary care setting
- Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
Compensation and Perks
- Income Guarantee: $330,000 (years 1‑2)
- Sign on bonus up to $50,000
- Relocation Assistance up to $20,000 for qualified candidates
