Physician - Primary Care- Float

Job Title

This is an open-continuous announcement and will remain open until December 31, 2026, or until the vacancies are filled (if a selection is made and offer accepted, announcement will be closed). Major Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide outpatient care for primary care patients, including routine scheduled visits and urgent visits
• Prescribe medications within defined scope of practice
• Order diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, imaging, electrocardiograms
• Review need for and order health promotion and disease prevention measures
• Initiate and respond to consultations, special tests and studies
• Provide education and counseling of patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
• Participate in team communication with the PACT MSA, LPN and RN:
  • a. Team Huddles
  • b. Timely response to team communication via Microsoft Teams, email, telephone
• Precept house staff in resident continuity clinic in primary care
• Coverage of other clinics such as military environmental exposure, medical optimization pre-op, etc.
• Serve as a surrogate to receive View Alerts and Secure Messages assigned to a PACT provider
• Assistance with clinical requests from Nursing to minimize interruptions to patient care for PACT providers
• Complete patient forms and writing patient letters
• Serve as LISVH liaison
• Administrative duties for Primary Care Service/Medical Facility to be completed in between patient care visits as assigned by Primary Care Chief/Executive Leadership
• Assist with Primary Care FPPE/OPPE reviews
• Assist with Toxic Exposure Screening metrics

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
