Practice Specifics

We are seeking an additional Pediatric Neurologist to join our Pediatric Neurology team. The team includes one Pediatric Neurologist, one NP, one Child Psychiatry NP, and three Child Neuropsychologists. Physicians should have a passion for service and collaboration and general Pediatric Neurology experience. On‑call rotation is predominantly by phone and is negotiable.

Team and Services

The team works in Essentia Health St. Mary’s, a 330‑bed regional tertiary hospital that houses a Neuroscience Unit, a Neuro Trauma unit, and a Neuro step‑down unit. Inpatient rehabilitation units are located at Essentia Health Miller Dwan, a 150‑bed hospital. The Essentia Health St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital includes a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, an 18‑bed Level3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a CARF‑accredited Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, and the Eric Peter Person’s Children’s Cancer Center.

Polinsky, a state‑of‑the‑art facility, offers the only full‑service Pediatric outpatient therapy program north of the Twin Cities, including Pediatric‑specific PT, OT, Speech Therapy, and Psychology. Pediatric subspecialties offered include Hospital Medicine, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology, PM&R, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Emergency Room, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics.

Neurology services and support include EEG, Video EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Vagus Nerve Stimulator program, EMG, MRI with movie goggles, Child Life Specialist support, and more.

Location

Duluth, MN – located at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior, 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Population 86,000; regional service area 460,000.

Compensation

Base salary: $306,826. Candidates may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
