Job Summary

Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physician to join the expanding team at GWV. This role involves delivering high‑acuity pediatric emergency care while contributing to system‑wide innovation, education, and leadership.

Team & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with >50 certified PEM nurses, in‑house pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists (24/7), Child Life Specialists, advanced practice providers, and emergency medicine physicians.
• Lead clinical and educational initiatives as a Fellowship‑trained PEM physician.
• Provide subspecialty support with pediatric medical and surgical specialties.
• Participate in continuous improvement, quality improvement, and clinical pathway development.
• Maintain a 4‑bed pediatric emergency zone and manage a 20% pediatric admission rate with 8% critical care rate.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting salary: $350,000.
• Fellowship stipend: $2,500 per month from offer acceptance to graduation.
• Forgivable recruitment loan: $100,000, paid in the first month.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine – required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible PEM.
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
