Physician Outpatient Internal Medicine - Battle Creek, MI

Job Summary

Bronson Internal Medicine Battle Creek is seeking to hire a BE/BC Internal Medicine physician to join their outpatient practice in Battle Creek, Michigan. The position is hospital-employed, outpatient only, with minimal call and full-time flexible scheduling. The physician will work alongside four physicians and five APPs, collaborating with the Ambulatory Care Manager, social worker, pharmacist, and nurse triage.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose illnesses and prescribe or administer treatment for patients.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Provide counseling on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and diet.
• Interview, examine, and treat clinical patients to meet their medical needs.
• Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection using materials and resources.
• Determine referrals, level of urgency of follow-up, and consult with Medical Director and other professionals as needed.
• Exercise final medical judgment in all health‑care issues.
• Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs.
• Order studies, tests, and ancillary services.
• Document all services in the patient medical record.
• Review long‑term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
• Participate in process improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient‑care programs.
• Oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.
• Assist in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
• Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service consistent with the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Internal Medicine.
• Current and unrestricted state medical license as MD/DO and DEA licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, quality patient‑centered care.
• Current medical license in the state of Michigan.
• DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct or internship experience.
