Overview

The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, and Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) seek a Memory Specialist (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The position is located in Morgantown, WV.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the area of memory disorders/cognitive neurology, provide excellent patient care, and actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Must have completed a neurology residency program and a memory disorders fellowship or cognitive neurology fellowship. Must be board eligible or certified in neurology and in memory disorders or cognitive neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Work Environment

The WVU RNI Memory Health Clinic is the only multi-disciplinary specialty clinic in West Virginia that offers comprehensive, individualized diagnosis and treatment for dementia, providing support for caregivers. The clinic brings together neurologists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurse practitioners.

The RNI team is pioneering innovative clinical trials and research using focused ultrasound, transcranial magnetic stimulation, virtual reality, and wearable technologies to better treat Alzheimer’s and memory disorders.
