Physician, Nephrology

Sutter Independent Physicians (SIP) is seeking a BE/BC Nephrologist to join Summit Nephrology, a well-established practice in Auburn, CA. This role offers the opportunity to treat the full spectrum of kidney disease, from complicated hypertension to glomerulonephritis, dialysis, and post-transplant medicine, within a practice dedicated to an academic quality of care in a boutique-style private setting. The position emphasizes work-life balance and serves communities in the Sierra foothills.

Practice Info

• Summit Nephrology was founded in July 2005.
• The practice treats the full spectrum of kidney disease from complicated hypertension to glomerulonephritis, dialysis, and post-transplant medicine.
• Central to the patient care model is face-to-face time with patients; one hour for new consults and thirty minutes for follow-up appointments.
• The practice serves the communities of Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn, Grass Valley, Granite Bay, and Orangevale.
• Physicians currently with Summit Nephrology all have been in practice their entire careers.

Responsibilities

• Conducting consultations to diagnose illnesses.
• Evaluating kidneys to determine treatment.
• Referring patients to surgeons.
• Treating and managing conditions.
• Recommending dialysis.
• Administering medication.
• Academic time teaching residents and MS IV students.
• Opportunities for clinical trials.

Compensation

• Income guarantee (FTE salary $280,000).

• Salary range: $280,000 - $300,000 /Yr.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in medicine.
• BC/BE internal medicine.
• Graduate of an accredited nephrology training program.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Some Auburn-based telehealth outwards.
