Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our PRN Maternal Fetal Medicine physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Federal Way, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of women’s health cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate MFM physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex Women’s Health disorders, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
- This is a PRN position based at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, a 375 bed Level II trauma center.
- The position includes outpatient clinic and some call duties which can be mostly taken from home.
- Procedures include cerclages, amniocentesis with CVS and fetal echocardiogram.
- The group delivers 0-4 babies per month. There is 24/7 anesthesia coverage as well as OB hospitalist coverage for OB triage, OB emergencies and ED calls.
- St. Joseph Medical Center has a level III NICU capable of caring for infants as young as 22 weeks. We also have a partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed.
- This is a non benefited position but includes malpractice insurance and licensure reimbursement. There is also a travel reimbursement benefit for non local providers.
Job Requirements
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN with MFM subspecialty certification
- Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship training
- Active or eligible license in the state of Washington
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families
