This well-established health system in Kansas City provides comprehensive neonatal care services across multiple facilities, including a flagship Level-IIIB NICU with 49 beds, a 15-bed Level-IIIA NICU, and a growing Level-II NICU. The organization is committed to delivering advanced neonatal therapies and fosters a collaborative, highly specialized care environment supported by a dedicated team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners available around the clock.

Board Certified/Board Eligible - Neonatology
Job Details:
  • Provide full-time, in-house neonatal care coverage at a Level-IIIB NICU with 49 beds
  • Manage critically ill neonates using advanced therapies including inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), and therapeutic hypothermia
  • Care for extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGAN), including infants as young as 22 weeks gestational age
  • Support over 450 annual NICU admissions with an average daily census of 30
  • Collaborate with a team of board-certified neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners providing 24/7 in-house support
  • Provide oversight or support to a 15-bed Level-IIIA NICU, a growing Level-II NICU, and well-baby care units
  • Participate in out-of-house coverage supported by telehealth services
  • Engage in quality improvement (QI) initiatives within the practice
  • Opportunity to pursue individual clinical or academic interests
  • Contribute to regional delivery services and neonatal care coordination
  • Missouri Medical License required or willingness to obtain
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
  • Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
