Interventional Cardiologist
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Dothan, AL. This is a unique opportunity to join an established practice and work alongside an experienced team in a state-of-the-art facility. Practice Highlights

• Join an established practice with one Interventional Cardiologist and six Nurse Practitioners.
• General Cardiology call is shared with eight other physicians for a great work-life balance.
• The clinic is attached to the hospital for easy access and collaboration.
• Practice in a hospital with a state-of-the-art Cath Lab and three reading rooms.
• The facility has 56 total ICU beds, including a 14-bed CVICU/Progressive Care Unit.
• A robust cardiac rehab program with a pulmonary function component is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full skillset in interventional cardiology techniques, including but not limited to coronary interventions, and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Manage patients in the office, hospital, and other settings as needed.
• Participate in shared general cardiology call with other team members.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced physicians and advanced practice providers to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Required:
  
  • An active Alabama medical license with no restrictions (MD or DO).
  • DEA certification.
  • Board Certified in Cardiology (required for candidates with more than five years of experience post-residency).
  • Board Eligible in Cardiology (accepted for candidates within one to five years post-residency).
• Skills:
  
  • A full skillset in interventional cardiology techniques is required.
