West Virginia University School of Medicine EasternCampusseeks internists for multiple full-time faculty outpatientonly positions. Ranks available are Assistant Professor, AssociateProfessor, or Professor The successful candidate will practice inBerkeley County Medical Center (BMC) or Jefferson County MedicalCenter (JMC).

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areasof Internal Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patientcare, the successful candidate will also be actively involved inteaching medical students, residents, and fellows and will take anactive role in the new internal medicine residency program.

This position is with is the academic outpatient internal medicinedepartment at WVU Medicine. A growing academic Internal Medicinesection that affords the faculty member teaching opportunities withinternal medicine residents and medical students in an outpatientclinical setting. Internal Medicine faculty will also participatein didactic conferences and have access to scholarly and researchopportunities. The primary hospital is Berkeley Medical Center, a200-bed teaching hospital in the Eastern Panhandle of WestVirginia, with a 19-bed ICU, cardiac catheterization lab,interventional radiology, and the full range of medical andsurgical consultative services. There are active Neurosurgical,Cardiovascular, and Oncology programs via our RockefellerNeurosciences Institute, Heart and Vascular Institute, and CancerInstitute, respectively. Additional tertiary care support isprovided by a strong collaborative relationship with Ruby MemorialHospital in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree orforeign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.Successful candidate must have completed an Internal Medicineresidency program and be board certified / eligible in InternalMedicine. All qualifications must be met by the time ofappointment.
