Physician - Hospitalist LTAC

We are seeking a Full Time and Per Diem Hospitalist to join our dedicated medical team at a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC). This role is ideal for a physician who enjoys managing medically complex patients in a collaborative, low-turnover environment.

Position Highlights

• Manage patients with complex medical needs (vent weaning, post-ICU care, multi-system chronic illness)


• Supportive interdisciplinary team including specialists, nursing, respiratory therapy, and case management


• No rapid patient turnover typical of short-stay acute care hospitals


• Journal club with other PMA physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to LTAC patients


• Coordinate care with consulting specialists and interdisciplinary teams


• Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharges as needed


• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited university


• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine


• Eligible for licensure in California


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
