Physician - Hospitalist

Position Details

As a Hospitalist, you will:

• Deliver inpatient care following a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM – 7 PM).
• Conduct daily rounds on a caseload of approximately 12–15 patients per physician.
• Manage patient admissions and respond to rapid response situations/codes.
• Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU framework, with 24/7 consult availability.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, while documenting findings in Paragon EMR.
• Coordinate care with attending physicians, specialists, and hospital personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in a collaborative Hospitalist team managing a collective patient census of 40–50 daily.
• Note: No on-call responsibilities required.
• Practice in a non-trauma facility with a solid healthcare infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; new graduates are encouraged to apply but must complete residency beforehand.
• Must achieve Board Certification within a two-year timeframe from the contract start date.
• A valid New York medical license is required or a commitment to obtaining one.
• Candidates must possess a clean malpractice and licensure history.
• Certifications in DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.
• Visa support is required for the provider.
• Willingness to work full-time with a 7 on / 7 off schedule is essential.
• Comfort in an open ICU environment with intensivist collaboration is required.
