Contact Ms. Ronda Eady at , the EDRP Coordinator for questions/assistancePay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increasesPaid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryCME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage providedContract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlightingMajor Duties/ResponsibilitiesAdministrative duties may include: Strategic planning and performance improvement, creating monthly daytime and after hours call schedules, completing mid-year and annual proficiencies/evaluations for GI employees, and personnel actions as needed.Clinical duties may include:Completes inpatient and outpatient consultsReviews clinical and care community consultsAssists GI clinics to potentially include telehealth clinicsPerforms all general GI endoscopic procedures and EUS/ERCP, if trained/proficient in these advanced proceduresSupervises trainees/fellows who are rotating on the GI service to include inpatient consults, consult reviews, outpatient clinics, and procedures.Supports GI advanced practice providers.Other duties may be assigned by the Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Specialty Care, Associate Chief of Staff for Specialty Care, or designee.Work Schedule80 hours total per two weeks pay period (Monday - Friday) and approximately 5 weeknights of call per month.
