Practice Specifics

Our Gastroenterology section at a 132‑bed tertiary referral center seeks a BE/BC Gastroenterologist as part of a planned expansion. Services onsite include a 24‑hour Emergency Department with Level II trauma designation. The facility features a state‑of‑the‑art endoscopy unit, and an IM hospital services manages all inpatient GI admissions. GI functions as a consultative service supported by five NPs/PAs in the outpatient GI clinic and inpatient GI consultation. The program has a 100% consultative practice with a full spectrum of endoscopy procedures, including ERCP with EUS capability. Olympus 190 scopes with CO₂ are utilized in addition to Provation and Epic software. Teaching and outreach opportunities are available. The practice boasts a safe, family‑friendly environment with excellent school districts and proximity to urban or rural settings.

Responsibilities

This position provides a 1:4 on‑call schedule and requires ERCP proficiency. Involved in managing all inpatient GI admissions via the IM hospitalist service and providing consults to outpatient and inpatient settings.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Gastroenterology
• ERCP preferred

Location

Centrally located on the border of North Dakota & Minnesota, 4 hours west of Minneapolis/St. Paul, in the Fargo‑Moorhead population of 250,000. Regional service area includes 25 clinics and 5 hospitals.

Compensation

Annual salary of $600,284 with potential additional compensation through bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
