Position: Gastroenterologist – Assistant, Associate, or Professor
Overview
A position within West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, requiring practice in Morgantown and/or Fairmont, WV, with potential services at satellite sites. The role involves clinical care, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
- Practice primary and advanced gastroenterology services, including endoscopy and ERCPs.
- Provide care across multiple sites within West Virginia, including satellite clinical locations.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Develop and lead research programs, particularly in chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
- Build and design gastrointestinal programs within the academic center.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent; eligible for unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
- Completed accredited internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship.
- For Associate Professor or Professor rank: demonstrated leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high‑impact journals.
