Position Summary / Career Interest
The University of Kansas Health System, Olathe Campus, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a Gastroenterologist faculty member to join its dynamic and well-established GI team in a reputable healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive gastroenterology care. Currently, we have 4 General Gastroenterologists, along with 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This opportunity offers a state-of-the-art facility with advanced equipment and a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional gastroenterology care and contributing to the continued growth of our esteemed healthcare institution.
Qualifications
Candidate should be fellowship-trained, board certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas.
We will consider new graduate GIs.
Responsibilities
- Full spectrum of general gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital-based practice, and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults.
- Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills, but not required: ERCP and EUS.
- Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Gastroenterology team comprised of 18 GI faculty, 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty), 3 IBD Faculty and 21 APPs.
- Average daily census is 25.
- Endoscopy suites (main campus - 6 and ASC/other outpatient center - 4; with expansion, we will have additional rooms).
- Participate in educational conferences.
