Position Overview
We are searching for our next SUPER STAR! As our next Provider you will be under the direction of the VP/Chief Medical Officer and, in accordance with the medical profession, provide quality primary health care for treatment of a variety of medical conditions to a diverse community‑based patient population.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general physical examinations and medical evaluations to diagnose and treat a variety of medical illnesses and diseases.
- Direct patient care in accordance with CentroMed’s approved scope of services.
- Analyze test findings and process all lab results to diagnose the patient’s health condition; administer appropriate treatment plans and prescribe medications as indicated.
- Promote health by advising patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Document and chart all treatment modalities and preventive medicine prescribed in the patient’s medical chart.
- Make referrals to specialists when necessary, following guidelines established by the SVP/Chief Medical Officer and managed‑care contracts.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to implement objectives and Clinical Outcome measures, identify community medical issues, and develop treatment plans.
- Provide medical assistance to other physicians and mid‑level providers as needed, or serve as coverage for patients during absences.
- Inform the SVP/Chief Medical Officer of trends and increases in medical conditions reported by patients.
- Maintain CME requirements for Texas license and board certification.
- Abide by infection‑control policies, hazardous‑materials procedures, and other internal policies.
- Participate in after‑hour care, including patient calls and hospital coverage, with appropriate documentation.
- Participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program.
- Uphold CentroMed’s mission and values regarding ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility, and objectives.
- Maintain high levels of excellent customer service internally and externally.
- Ensure protection and security of all personal, confidential and identifiable information in compliance with HIPAA.
- Assist in training new employees in performing their duties as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate from a U.S.‑approved medical school; completion of required internship and/or residency program; licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Experience: Outpatient health‑care clinic experience preferred.
- Other: Current Physician’s Permit, Controlled Substances registration, DEA certificate; must be eligible for Federal Torts Claim Act medical liability coverage.
- Bilingual: Preferred.
- Family medicine competence with patients aged 0 and older.
- Internal medicine competence with patients aged 18 and older.
